We keep coming back

Mary’s Parents, the Holocaust survivors, left Poland after the war. Their daughter was born in Sweden, in 1949. When she was two years old, they emigrated to Canada, where Mary grew up, married and gave birth to her son, Michael. 65 years later, the mother and the son decided to make journey to Poland. They did not suspect that the trip to the land of their ancestors would unveil before them – like in a mirror – problems of the third post-war generation of Poles seeking their lost Jewish roots. "We Keep Coming Back" tells the true story of their journey. It tells how the collision of personal Jewish-Polish biography with contemporary Polish-Jewish narratives contributes to the reconstruction of family identity. It tells about meetings, which are the beginning of a completely new, unexpected stories.
