The workshop with Rafal Urbacki deals with the issue of alternative kinetics in dance (motion) and its translation into bodies which use different kinetic code. Using the methods of work used in the performance "Gatunki Chronione” [Protected Species], the participants will learn the tools which are used by choreographer (improvisation, BMC, authentic motion), while expanding their own kinetic alphabet. The starting point of the workshop will be the choreographic material used in the performance – its analysis on the level of body and words. The workshop is an introduction to reflection on the use of dance as a language of critical statements about society and culture. After the workshop four participants will be invited to take part in a fragment of the performance "Gatunki Chronione”. It will be a part of the process, to be launched during the workshop. Duration 3 hours.
