"Gatunki chronione" [Protected species] is an attempt to reflect critically on the perception of people with alternative kinetics without presenting them as "victims" or "superheroes" – the narratives so much overused in the media. The project combines two forms: a documentary film, and a motion performance. It tells about diversity and equality, without pushy didacticism. It is dynamic, constantly seeking the appropriate language to tell about its alternative bodies here and now: in an existing moment and a "natural setting" given to them. The protagonists find the truth about their bodies somewhere between a stage performance and the real life. Faced with daily experiences, the scene becomes for them a safe haven, the reserve, the only place where they can honestly, though not without fear, tell about his identity.
