Ingri Fiksdal, Ingvild Langgård and Signe Becker are graduates of the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. Each of them is an independent artist; they are considered among the most promising Norwegian artists of the younger generation, which is confirmed by numerous prestigious invitations, scholarships and awards.Ingri Midgard Fiksdal is active in the field of choreography and performance art, she builds her actions in such a way that the audience is always an integral part of it - but it’s not about interactivity, but rather about a kind of “sensorial transference”. An ongoing theme within Fiksdal’s work is the ritual, and the ritual’s inherent capacity of transforming and ultimately transcending its partakers. Ingvild Langgård composes music to performances, films and in the framework of its project entitled. Phaedra (in 2011 she released the album The Sea for label avant-garde Rune Grammofon). Her music is a blend of folk and psychedelia with a touch of blues and soul: the sacred funeral hymns, flickering moods, crystalline vocals, folk instruments and deep bass lines – all saturated with the mood of Scandinavian gloom and mystery. Signe Becker creates sets for performances, and installations, photographs and video works. For 6 years, she has been a regular stage designer in the Verk Produksjoner; she also collaborates with the Black Box Theatre in Oslo. Their joint project Night Tripper (Osloprisen prize for Best Presentation, 2012) takes shape as a trail in the woods, concert performance, ritual and society event. It begins in the twilight hour and takes the audience into the night.It explores the idea of nature and animistic, as a place of both healing and destructive powers, of immanence and transcendence. The piece features six performers, curious instruments, numerous installation artworks, a local choir and a lot of potent spirits.
